Centred on the Miller’s Point area of the city of Sydney, Barangaroo Headland Park will be a harbour park linked by a continuous waterfront promenade stretching from Woolloomooloo to the Anzac Bridge. Part of the project consists of a reshaping of the existing shoreline, the creation of a 2.2km shoreline pedestrian promenade and a jetty, and construction of a 300 space car park. The creation of a built up naturalised park will also require the construction of considerable concrete structures, such as earth retaining walls. The Headland Park constitutes one of three sections which make up Barangaroo, which is a $6 billion project and the most significant project undertaken in Sydney in recent times. Quickway was engaged on this project to construct a 18m high, 182m long counterfort retaining wall.
